Café Kahvila Kariranta is open all year round, from 9 am to 8 pm in the summer, and from 9 am to 6 pm in winter.
Lahti passenger harbour is full of life, even in winter. The ice-covered Vesijärvi offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities such as skiing or skating, or for just enjoying the beautiful, wintry scenery. When its cold outside, it’s lovely to pop in for a warm cuppa. We already have delicious cream-filled buns, or semla, traditionally served on Shrove Tuesday.

Café Kahvila Kariranta is located at Lahti passenger harbour, within a pleasant walking distance from the city centre.
The old railway building, now transformed into a café, provides a cosy, historical setting, and the enticing scent of freshly baked products invites visitors inside to enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee in an idyllic environment.
Our golden cinnamon buns, flaky cheese croissants and other delicious treats are all home-made.
